FAQ:

1. Are you a lesbian?
I identify as pansexual. I am attracted to whomever I am attracted to, and gender does not matter to me in ways of attraction.

2. How can you like Disney, (namely Ariel) if you’re a feminist?
Just because I am a feminist does not mean there are certain things I am ‘not allowed’ to like, or dislike. In regards to Ariel, I think a major proponent of feminism we seem to forget is the practice of NOT shaming a woman for WHATEVER choice she makes in regards to the living of her life (excluding actions that directly harm or interfere with the well-being of others) this includes not shaming a woman for being a stay at home mom or wanting a family instead of a career. Ariel chose to take a risk and give up her voice to be with the Prince despite what everyone told her to do because she wanted to learn on her own. Also, she didn’t get the prince until she got her voice back because he loved that about her, so I see that as a message NOT to change for a potential partner, because they could be in love with the very thing you give up.

3. Are you a virgin?
My sex life is the business of only myself and the partners I may or may not have had. I choose to do this because I do not want to invite anonymous slut-shame or virgin-shame upon myself.

4. Why do you call your blog ‘No Pencils’?
“If all my cares were pencils, I would have no pencils.”- I said that one time and I was like “this is punk rock let me name my blog that”
